What are we ?
A Special Cultural Centre which has been running since 1995, designated to provide free attention to young and adult handicapped individuals who have no social or health insurance.
What are we for?
- To obtain the appropiation of knowledge, abilities and habits which are necessary to the integral development of the special needs individual, and to fortify their social integration.
- To promote the development of an autonomous and critical way of thinking.
- To stimulate different means of expression and better their communication with their environment enhanging their revalidation as human beings.
- To generate self esteem and develop autonomy.
- To find different means for the human needs of choice creativity and comunication.
How do we meet our goals?
- Cre-arte generates non-formal teaching environments through which recreation and expression are explored through artistic and cultural activities, thus re-inforcing respect, stimulation in aesthetical pleasure and self-esteem.
- All this is made possible with work-shop activities, as for example art, music, crafts,drama, body-movement, ceramics, cooking, gardening.
